Godspeed
Launching and producing an animated pilot from the ground up.
About Godspeed
Olan Rogers is a standout content creator. From the early days of Youtube to his international break-out animation series, Final Space (aired by Warner Bros./TBS/Adult Swim), he has had a loyal and ever growing fanbase across the globe. He recently premiered the pilot episode of his new independent animated series, Godspeed, on YouTube, racking up over a million views across all platforms. The pilot was a result of Rogers’ Kickstarter campaign in the summer of 2022, which was crowdfunded to the sum of over $400,000 by his fiercely devoted fanbase. Headword came on to invest in the project creatively and financially, and handled all of the project’s branding, strategy, and marketing.
Rogers launched a second crowdfunding campaign in December 2023 for episode 2, and within 7 hours, an astounding $100,000 was raised through his fans. When the campaign reached the finish line, it amassed a total of $300,000. Pre-production is currently underway for the new episode.

The Challenge
Go beyond our 360 capabilities to produce and develop marketing for a new animated project from a well-known creator.
The problem: Olan Rogers, the creator of the animated hit, Final Space, is independently releasing its spiritual successor, Godspeed. After a very successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $500K, he needed a partner who could take him to the next level, produce a pilot episode, and help brand and market the show.
Creative Approach
Headword stepped in with budget and creative direction to help get the project off the ground while overseeing the strategy and marketing. From creating the key art to the title treatment to social strategy, Headword is there every step of the way. We were able to collaborate with Olan, the creator, the producers and animators to create assets to help promote the successful launch of our first pilot episode.
But before we could market the show, we needed to create the brandmark that we could use to promote the show and capture its essence in a simple but engaging way.
To help promote the Youtube premiere of Godspeed, key art was created in collaboration with the animators.
Headword put out a call to several influential animation fans to share Godspeed as soon as it went live on YouTube, and thanked them with a limited edition bomber jacket. In conjunction with Star Cadet, Olan Rogers’ merch company, other items were produced and sold on GodspeedSeries.com, including the soundtrack on vinyl, plush toys, and stickers.
